If you have had a recent injury or believe you require an urgent appointment, please ask your GP to forward your referral to the consulting rooms for triage to the doctors.

Alternatively, if you were attended to at the Wagga Wagga Rural Referral Hospital Emergency Department you may have been advised to see an Orthopaedic Surgeon for follow-up (this is generally within 10 days).

  • You will need to provide us with your letter from ED

  • The date of your injury

  • Be sure to mention it was through the hospital you received your initial treatment.

Wagga Wagga Rural Referral Hospital has a "fracture clinic" for urgent injury referrals. The fracture clinic number is:  6938 6260 or 6938 6262

Unfortunately not every patient will be seen as quickly as they would like. We have a cancellation list and are regularly checking this to offer earlier dates where possible.

The NSW workforce statistics suggest that with the size of the population in the Riverina, we could support extra Orthopaedic Surgeons. It remains an ongoing focus and priority of the Wagga Orthopaedic Department to recruit additional surgeons to the area.
